How radars perform?
Police radars perform by transmitting radio waves to the focused vehicle and return back. The time taken to reach back is used for calculating the position of the object. These radio waves are highly potential to move through the air in rapid speed. There will be change in the frequency of radio waves while a vehicle moves on roads. Radars are used here to find out the change and it easily converts into miles per hour and this measurement is useful for determining the targeted vehicle’s speed. These radars are using various kinds of bands to find out the vehicle’s speed. Some of the bands are X, K, Ka etc. Traditional radar detectors have the compatibility to alert the motorist when they are monitored by police radars.
Laser radar guns
Laser radar guns are the latest advancement which use laser to decide on the vehicle’s speed. Laser lights are focused on the targeted vehicle and it will be bounce off and returned. From this, it is simple to calculate the speed of the targeted vehicle. These types of laser guns can work well even in huge distances.
Jamming signal
Jamming signal is considered as a big issue in tracing a traditional radar detector. This signal emits a duplicate signal and confuses the radar receiver. As a result, police radars become incapable of detecting accurate reading of targeted object’s speed. Some of the latest arrivals come with laser jammer feature which also emit duplicate but laser signals to confuse and prevent the police radars from reading the speed exactly.
