The new radar detector from Whistler is designed to meet the standards of very sensitive radars like BEL and Escort with high range of reception. This Whistler DE-1783 Radar Detector is designed to be used in City and highways in vehicles with wide waveguide of reception. The detection is enabled by both sides of the radar i.e. font and back. The product is configured with patented VG-2 clocking technology. It is immune to VG-2 and not to VG-3. So that VG-2 is undetectable with this product. But the patented clocking technology for VG-2 produces the alerts when VG-2 is in use.
The alerts are of two types, audio and video. Further, this best radar detector is furnished with a lot of extra ordinary features. The voice alert type integrated with the product comes with real effect which is very clear and easy to understand. Further the visual alert type is an alpha numeric display with high visibility which supports the documentation of SWS alerts with detailed information. The SWS (safety waning system™) alerts are the visual alerts shown in the system monitor with high accuracy. The bands of frequency which can be detected are X band, K band, Ka band and Laser. The product is specifically enhanced with the facility to detect POP mode of the new Bee III radar gun from MPH Industries. At present very limited number of brands have this facility.
The detection is configured to 360 degree. The perimeter in which the detection will occur is increased drastically to 360/176. The radar detector is enhanced with digital compass to indicate the direction from where the signals are being detected. The Whistler DE-1783 Laser Radar Detector responds almost all types of radars used currently by police and other authorized workgroups. The DE-1783 was selected as good performer during Speed Measurement Laboratories Annual Detector Test 2003 with a lot of top rating features. The product is known well for best straight line detection and Instant-On (pulse) Detection, so that a device within the visibility range will be detected at the moment when it is turn ON
The product supports auto and manual muting which will helps the user to handle it easily. The modes of operation possible in the device are Stay Alert Mode, Three City Modes, Quiet Mode, and Tutorial Mode. The three city modes allow the user to tune the radar in three different city environments and quiet mode is meant for silent mode. The tutorial mode helps the users to be familiar with the operation and product features, and hence the product can be used in any environment. The setting saver saves the most suitable settings to make initial tuning easy. The vehicle battery saver circuit reduces the power consumption of the radar and it is enhanced with a self test option to assure the performance of device. The alert volume can be controlled with a separate controller. The package includes windshield bracket kit and power cord. The battery monitor helps the user to change the battery or to switch the power supply ON.
